Tools To Transform
Knowledge Into Wisdom
We read, intellectualize,
philosophize and have conversations about what it is to live an enriched and
fulfilled life, yet what tools are we provided with to
embody the freedom of fulfillment?
Provided here are some basic steps to support you to unlock
the deepest part of your "authentic self". Start
exactly where you are, taking one step at a time.
"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see
the whole staircase". Martin Luther King, Jr.
1. What Do You Truly Desire to Experience?
Sometimes we discover what we desire by first
recognizing what we do not want. The first time I was
assigned the task of writing out ten things I desired to
experience in my life I couldn't do it. My teacher
gave me two weeks to create my list and I struggled all
fourteen days. Feeling embarrassed by my failure, I
reported back with an empty sheet of paper. To my
relief, I was met with understanding and compassion.
Many of us are taught to focus on what society believes we
need as opposed teaching us how to tap into the deepest
requirements of our own being. We are not born to be
consumers or measure our self worth by our appearance,
accumulations, titles or outward success. We are born
with unique gifts and talents that are meant to be
acknowledged, nurtured and shared with others.
Think about the times you feel the deepest sense of
fulfillment. Is it when you are struggling to increase
your outer appearance, possessions, and credibility in the
community, or is it when you are sharing your deepest gifts
of love from the heart?
We may often feel like something is missing when
society tells us we:
Don't have enough and therefore we are not enough.
Have too much and are not seen or appreciated for who we
are.
Are not a desirable height, weight, color, age,
intelligence.
Do not have the right size home, partner, family, job,
profession, bank account.
Are not up to par with our creative abilities. and we are
compared to others.
Are not as skilled in sports, conversation, wit.
Are being compared to others and judged by what others deem
as acceptable.
The list goes on...
Clues to get you started begin with twinges of pain
and discomfort
Take a quick inventory of your life. Without
judging or editing, allow yourself permission to write a
quick list of areas that don't feel "right", whether they be
your appearance, relationships, health, bank account, home.
Identify the Opposite
Now, take a look at your list and do your best to
identify how you would like to experience these areas of
your life. For example, if you feel discomfort with a
relationship, focus on how you would like to feel
in that relationship as opposed to making the person behave
differently. Do you want that person to be more
present or provide deeper understanding? If so, how
would you feel being the recipient of those
qualities in a relationship? Does being with a person
who has a willingness to listen and understand you provide
you with a sense of trust and safety to be yourself?
What is different when you experience deep and extraordinary
trust in a relationship?
2. Release & Let Go. Unclutter Your Internal
Landscape
Many of us learned subconscious
coping mechanisms and patterns to survive in life. Yet these limiting
patterns do not allow us to thrive. Learn to release and let go of
what is cluttering your internal landscape of success.
We are all tempted and even prodded to make others (or
oneself) wrong, to judge, blame, compare; and yet do any of
these behaviors provide you with a sense of fulfillment or
authentic freedom? Attempts to manipulate or control
people and circumstances around us will make us eternal
victims. The only way to experience inner peace and
fulfillment is to deepen your skills and practice the power
of choice.
3. Purify & Replenish with The Power of Choice
Purify and transform decades of
unsuccessful patterns in your spirit, mind and body.
Expand possibilities in your relationships, home, career,
finances and the community you live in. Replenish yourself with new and fulfilling
possibilities.
Learning to build and develop the inner muscle of choice in
both easy and difficult experiences is a way to experience
inner peace and fulfillment with resources we have available
in the moment.
4. Mastering Your Journey of Life
Master Tools and Wisdom Exercises that
keep you active on an upward spiral of experiencing a
fulfilling life. Gently remind yourself that a practice
which works for you in
one situation may not work in another. Life is always
changing and it's important
to continue to learn and practice on a
daily basis!
Change Your Mind
and Your Feelings and You
Change
Your Life Experience
In elementary school, we all learned that LIKE ENERGY attracts LIKE
ENERGY.
Everything and everyone is made up of energy.
Every thought sparks a feeling inside of you, and every
feeling is a vibration of energy.
What are you thinking and feeling?
If 90% of your life appears to be wonderful, and 10% appears
to be pessimistic, where do
you usually focus your attention; on the 90% what's
wonderful, or the 10% that's pessimistic?
Many of us are taught to focus on the 10%. Do your thoughts lift you up or
do they bring you down?
Subconscious choices are directing aspects of your
life whether you are aware of it or not.
Can you afford to continue living with the thoughts and
feelings you currently have?
